Carol Madsen – Co-Owner & Visionary

Carol has been at the helm since 2014 and has been a support for Dean as he started his new home inspection business in Jan 2011. She runs the office, answers calls and questions, and does the marketing. With a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and professional standards she certified as a home inspector to be able to assist customers with questions, assist on inspections and has helped grow this family-owned business into one of Utah's most trusted names in the industry (J-Pro Inspects LLC). Now as co-owner of Home Inspections by Grandpa, Carol’s passion for excellence ensures that we continue our family values and maintain our excellence through the Standards of Practice for a Home Inspection.

Dean Madsen – Co-Owner and Professional Inspector

When you choose Home Inspections by Grandpa, you are getting the "Grandpa" eye for detail. With 15 years behind him as a home inspector, a bit of experience in building, roofing, electrical and more, Grandpa Dean will bring his knowledge and insights to each inspection. He takes the time to walk you through the property, answering your questions and providing practical guidance on maintenance, the easy fix-its and observed conditions. He doesn't just find problems; he provides the wisdom you need to make an informed decision for your family's future. Also provided is a detailed report that can help with negotiations and later, the "Honey-do" list. Most reports are back the same day as the inspection. He will even leave you with a Monster Free Certificate for the children.
